As a construction professional (for example Quantity Surveyor or Civil Engineer/Designer), you may well find that when providing feasibility information to your client, that your cost information is based on published cost information (for example Spons or Laxtons Price books) or on historical information and previous schemes.
As Estimators, we’re very much able to provide either first principle estimates, or otherwise carefully liaison with specialist sub-contractors on your behalf, using either our own or your measures. This is something that we do extensively in the Civil Engineering sector where a client may put an emphasis within their costing preparation on the building itself, using for example an rate per square foot, but without any real costing information for the civils work which could become considerable.
